MMOEXP: A quote about fresh legendary and set equipment in Diablo 4
When we saw that the actual gameplay of Diablo 4 Gold at a briefer, three minute spot, '' I don't know, something feels to me personally about it.It looks more like Diablo 4, less arcade-y and more...grounded. I'm not sure I...like that. Everything just looked a onscreen. The game is still so early in production there is not even a launch window for this, and it'll be polished in time. But something between the art design and the combat just didn't really land in this preview, when I am alone, and I'm wondering. Naturally, I'd want to receive my hands on it to see how it feels, and because I'm not at BlizzCon I can't, but something did not really fit with this first footage.
When some regions of Diablo 4 are instanced, there are going to be areas that are bigger where you are able to run into other players, where you fight against them, or could potentially team up together. I do not feel that this really is a Dark Zone type thing where gamers are going to gank you and steal your loot, since the PvP is being described as"consensual" (ew), however that I do not know whether it is wise to focus on PvP in any facet, as that has never been Diablo's forte, also integrating PvP into mostly PvE games is a recipe for unbalance or nerfs to suit both modes.
I also am uncertain how I think about world areas in a series that I have appreciated farming for at least a decade now. I am wondering if it is optional to have those cases with different players, or if it's going to be similar to Destiny in which you literally cannot load into patrol zones by yourself. You can ride mounts in Diablo 4, and also with this large, giant open world you will be travelling less by moving from teleporter to teleporter, and more by riding your mount round. I'm wondering how that can affect speed farming runs and simply getting from point A to point B is not a terribly interesting part of the game, and I wonder whether the entire thought of mounts was made only so...Diablo could promote mounts. Which leads me to...
This was confirmed on stream. Diablo 4 boasted a strong transmorg system so you could look however that did not cost anything and you desired. But what if d4 mats replaces that with paid"ornaments" or something. That...wouldn't be great. Diablo 4 started experimenting with selling various items but nothing really stuck. It is possible these microtransactions could be nothing and nice, or they may be a direct step down from previous games. We'll see.
